Traffic Alert: New Seward Hwy @ Fireweed Lane & 15th Ave @ Ingra Str; Shutdown; Avoid areas; Shooting investigation Alert - February 22, 2020:Around 10:45 p.m., Dispatch received a report of shots fired in the area of the New Seward Highway and Fireweed Lane. Around the same time, an officer was flagged down at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Ingra Street about a person shot. The officer located a juvenile male shot in the upper body. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It’s believed that the shooting occurred in the area of New Seward Highway and Fireweed Lane. The intersection of the New Seward Highway and Fireweed Lane as well as the intersection of 15th Avenue and Ingra Street are shutdown as officers investigate. There will be a heavy police presence in both locations. Please avoid these areas and use alternate routes. Anyone with information about this investigation, including surveillance footage, should call Dispatch at 311. APD Case: 20-6305  Feb 21 2020, 11:23 PM
